I have never seen such expression in a goat while labor as I have with this one, she was so full of expression and also took time to listen as some of the pictures noted. Many of the ones were she curled her lip back were blurred from her moving but a few came out. I ended up having to help pull her buck out he was very large for a first time freshner and had one leg back and not enough room for me to push him back and pull the leg forward like I was able to with her sister. Funny both sisters presented kids the exact same way. Her buck weighed only 8lb 5 ozs which is a decent size but not large like Mariahs weighing in at 11 lbs and weighed 18lbs at 2 weeks. I should ahve weighed him again this weekend but will try to, tomorrow.

Rain, lunch at Luna Rosa making the list
Tthe bradford pears are blooming and I am playing with Joshs Nikon L20 and I really like it and you can change to taking B&W while you are shooting and now that I have adjusted the +/- thingy my pictures are coming out much better not so white and clearer. Had one doe abort this week a mass not big, so I checked her out to see if she had any babies and couldn't find any, I also checked out another doe whose udder wasn't coming in and couldn't find kids in her so I am down to 12 does pregnant, 2 have jidded with sinles 1 doe, 1 buck so that leaves 10 left to kid which 5 are 1st time freshners so maybe 1 of them will have twins so that leaves 14 kids to come if my 4 big does have twins which who knows the other 2 were my big does and gave singles, I can only hope for a heavy dose of does kids from the ones left.

Making the first Chevre' of 2011 with fresh goats milk
This chevre has been the best creamiest I have made and tasted, must be from the milk that was only freshened 5-6 days before making the cheese. The curds didn't really form and the cheese in the molds took forever to drain, the one little bit I hung drained nicely and was the creamiest. Have another batch in the frig on the final drain and it is taking foprever too. Hope it tastes just as good.
